Dear Members, dear Partners, dear Friends,
After 22 years and 12 Expo-Sciences International, MILSET is still there, growing, facing, day after day, the challenges!
For MILSET, 2009 was marked by the global financial crisis, impacting all of us but not decreasing our will to reach our objectives. This year is also synonym of a great MILSET Expo-Sciences International (ESI 2009) in Tunisia and the achievement of the 1st year of the Youth Climate Conferences (YCC) which welcomed 15,000 young participants originating from 52 countries.
For MILSET Europe, 2009 is synonym of a large panel of successful activities such as the ESDY, SPC, YCC, ISSC, IRS, etc. but it's also, following a decision of its General Assembly, synonym of a move of its legal seat from Czech Republic to Belgium opening new opportunities.
2010 is coming as a thrilling year. Going through the difficulties, the Expo-Sciences Europe (ESE 2010) will be welcomed in Moscow and will complete the summer programme made of a large panel of summer camps, starting by the ISSC 2010 which will be hosted by the Orange people of LGMOA in Lithuania and the IRS 2010 carried by OODI in Russia.
Beside, Salomé (PT) and Christophe (BE) have joined the coordination of the European Science Day for Youth (ESDY 2010) which will lead us to discover Biodiversity on 29th April, Denisa (CZ) is there for the MILSET Science Photo Contest which will run for the 4th edition starting on 1st February and, of course, the YCC team made of a collaboration between MILSET and UNF is ready for a 2nd year of climate conferences expecting a growing success!
Not able to give a complete overlook of all the coming activities, I invite you to discover them in the 1st ever MILSET programme of activities.
While looking forward to meeting you all, in behalf of MILSET Europe team, I wish you and your family a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Antoine van Ruymbeke
MILSET Europe President
